Keynote speaker: Heena Samani

Heena joined the Financial Services Authority in 2008 and transitioned to the Bank of England following the establishment of the Prudential Regulation Authority. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of roles across the supervision of insurance firms, domestic UK banks and international banks. She served as Private Secretary to Sam Woods in his capacity as CEO of the PRA and Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, supporting work on the Bank's post-Brexit and Covid response. She has also worked on a range of financial stability issues, including resolution matters at HM Treasury. Prior to her current role, Heena led the Large Mutuals and Specialist Support Division, where she oversaw work on change in control transactions and the PRA's response to a number of crisis events. Since January 2025, Heena has led the Global Systemically Important Banks Division, which supervises the largest UK-headquartered global systemically important banks (G-SIBs).

Key panelist: Dr. Nashwa Saleh

Dr. Saleh is a strategic thought leader, senior policy advisor, CNED, educator and published author, internationally recognized by the prestigious Innovate Finance UK Women in Fintech Powerlist 2022 in the UK as an industry leader and as a top 100 influential financial industry expert (men & women) in the EMEA region.

‍She has more than 25 years of experience across global EM with a special focus on EMEA, holding various senior policy, equity, debt and capital markets roles with a number of international organizations and regulatory bodies. Her track record spanned mandates with USAID, EBRD, AfDB, Central Bank of Egypt, S&P Global and KPMG Corporate Finance. ‍She has managed teams of multidisciplinary professionals and covered financial markets & institutions across a number of Global EM and frontier markets.

Josh Nowak:Josh is Katalysys' CEO. He has over 15-years’ experience in financial services, specialising in treasury and risk management. He has worked at leading financial institutions including Barclays and Morgan Stanley, and Wyelands Bank. His expertise spans capital, liquidity, and interest rate and FX risks. Alongside being the CEO, Josh advises executives and boards of non-systemic firms on prudential risk and reporting.

Anindya Ghosh Chowdhury: Anindya is Katalysys' CGO. Anindya has close to 15-years’ experience in financial services. He is a former PRA regulator, where he supervised a number of international banking subsidiaries and payment firms. He also led the Prudential Risk Advisory team at Forvis Mazars, and was the external auditor for a number of banks whilst at PwC.

Manish Patidar:Manish is a Senior Director at Katalysys, and has 12-years of experience in finance functions. His expertise covers finance and regulatory reporting – with special focus on reviews and developing assumption and interpretations on regulatory rules. He worked at Morgan Stanley and was Head of Finance for Union Bank of India (UK).

Owen Selby: Owen is a Vice President at Katalysys, and has over 10-years’ experience at the PRA supervising UK banks. He has overseen firms across the full spectrum of prudential risks and governance and brings direct insight into supervisory expectations and regulatory decision-making
